Just recently picked up a 2010 Dynamik. Changed out the stock bars and straight riser for a curved riser.

Setup as follows:
Sugino front crank (48-36-24)
Deore XT Front Derailleur
Deore XT Long Cage Rear Derailleur
11 - 34 cassette 9 speed
Avid BB7 Disc Brakes
Shimano integrated STI brake / shifters
Wheels from the purchase (look Deore disc hubs + Alex rims)
Schwalbe Marathon Racers (40mm)
Nitto Dove bars mounted upside down

The riser and curve in the bars open the bike up. Stand climbing is very natural. I have done (for me) some long stands and it works fine. I like a stretched position, so the curved riser and forward curve in the bars gives me options for leaning forward if I want to. The hands on grips position is also very nice. First ride was 40 miles -- no discomfort. I have at least 3 positions I can move my hands so should be no pressure points.

To be honest, I don't have a great reason.

I am taking my original Dynamik back to Minneapolis. I miss having a bike there that I can ride during the winter. I love my Bachetta Strada, but I don't have any confidence riding it in the snow and ice.

As for another Dynamik. My Alterra is a fun bike / daily commuter, but I don't want to use it for heavy duty service. I decided to find a newer used Dynamik to fit the heavy touring, carry role. I have ambitions of doing some overnight trips to the various state parks in southern CA.
