My wife is suffering through a torn meniscus and can't bend that knee enough to allow her to ride her bike.

Has anyone seen a kit that would basically bolt a new bottom bracket to the old BB and frame, moving it forward a few inches? This would relax the amount of flex, and get her riding and exercising again. I'm thinking I could build one, but if a kit is available, I'd rather do that.

An alternative might be to use a setback seatpost, but here again, I have not found anything that would set the seat back any more than an inch or so.

Thanks for any ideas you might have.

Believe moving the seat back would be better than the crank forward. If you move the crank forward on a conventional DF there may be major foot front wheel interference.
